Grain That Won't Let Go
Most concaves don't open up soon enough or unload grain evenly across the cleaning system. That restricts capacity, carries more grain toward the back of the machine, and increases the risk of grain loss before you ever see it on the ground.
When grain finally separates, it often drops heavily in one area instead of spreading evenly across the sieves — overloading one side, making sample quality harder to control, and keeping your combine from handling the crop the way it should.
Open Sooner, Separate Earlier
Razors Edge Concaves open the crop sooner, create more separation area earlier in the process, and help move grain more evenly into the cleaning system.
The tighter, notched front section promotes aggressive grain-on-grain threshing. From there, the bar spacing opens progressively — front to back and side to side — distributing grain across more of the sieves instead of overloading one area.
That means better sieve loading, cleaner samples, reduced grain loss, and more usable combine capacity across changing crops and conditions.
3 Steps
How Razors Edge Works
Thresh Early
The tighter, notched front section creates aggressive grain-on-grain threshing to open the crop early.
Separate Sooner
Progressively open bar spacing creates more separation area so grain can leave the crop material sooner.
Unload More Evenly
Depending on the model, the spacing also progresses side to side to spread grain more evenly across the sieves.
From The Field
What Farmers Are Saying
The Razors Edge Concaves have completely changed how we run our combine. The grain flows smoothly through the machine, letting us take in more crop and run faster without any machine loss. We used to have the standard round bars overloading one side — now the grain is evenly distributed. It's saved us time and kept the machine running more efficiently during harvest.
We very rarely get cereals reduced by heat, where the grain is kind of burnt into the heads — and we hadn't seen that hardly ever before. It was a difficult situation; certain concaves just wouldn't work, but the Thunderstruck Ag's did. We were surprised they could do as well as what they did.
